## Description

Boar’s Head Resort, a premier luxury resort in Charlottesville, Virginia, is seeking an experienced and service-driven Associate Food & Beverage Manager to join the leadership team of The Mill Room, our signature dining experience. This position plays a key role in the daily operation of the outlet and may serve as department head when assigned. The ideal candidate is a visible, hands-on hospitality leader who understands that luxury service is built through attention to detail, personalized guest experiences, strong leadership, and consistent execution.

The Associate Food & Beverage Manager will lead daily food and beverage operations while maintaining Boar’s Head Resort standards, Forbes service standards, and Four Diamond service expectations. Responsibilities include coaching and developing team members, leading pre-shift meetings, maintaining a strong management presence during service, supporting hiring and performance management, managing scheduling and labor costs, overseeing inventory and ordering, handling guest concerns and service recovery, and partnering with Culinary and resort leadership. The role will also support budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and overall outlet performance.

- Previous 3 years of food & beverage management or leadership experience
- Luxury hotel, resort, fine dining, or upscale restaurant experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of front-of-house operations and guest service
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop hospitality teams
- Experience with scheduling, payroll, labor costs, inventory, and ordering
- Strong financial and operational understanding
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle guest concerns and service recovery professionally
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to luxury service standards
- Ability to maintain a visible, hands-on leadership presence during service
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
