## Description

This Aircraft Mechanic I supports scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on MH-6M/MH-47G/MH-60M rotary wing aircraft.

**Responsibilities**  

- Mechanic adjusts, repairs, or replaces components on aircraft that are in scheduled or unscheduled maintenance.
- This mechanic performs repairs and inspections and enters work in the electronic logbook/phase book.
- Will perform power-on checks, aircraft rigging, and support post-maintenance flight line operations.
- Will be required to use hand tools, calibrated tools, and aircraft special tools.
- Will be required disassemble, wash, inspect, repair, and reassemble phase aircraft.
- Will be required to be part of the aircraft tow team moving aircraft.

**Qualifications**  

- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Must have own tools/toolbox.
- Must have a minimum of 6 years in aircraft maintenance.
- May be required to pass a respirator physical to perform confined-space operations.
- Will be required to pass a basic physical to support aircraft movement, operate equipment, or operate a vehicle on the flight line.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to climb on aircraft, use maintenance stands, and be able to work in/on/around the aircraft.
- Experience on MH-6/MH-47/MH-60s is desired.
