# Agent Trainee – Todd Jones Agency

**Location:** Fremont, MI  
**Job Type:** Full-time  
**Schedule:** Monday to Friday  
**Compensation:** Base Pay + Uncapped Commission

 

## Job Overview

Farmers District 40 is seeking an energetic and ambitious Agent Trainee for our insurance sales and agency development program. This full-time opportunity is perfect for individuals looking to start or grow their career in the insurance industry. You will work closely with a top-performing Farmers Insurance agent, developing sales techniques and gaining insight into the business operations of a successful agency.

 

## Key Responsibilities

- Generate and follow up on leads provided by the agency and build your own pipeline

- Conduct outbound calls and engage potential customers

- Quote, sell, and cross-sell insurance products to new and existing clients

- Build referral relationships and seek new sales opportunities

- Meet and exceed set sales targets and goals

- Learn insurance agency operations, business processes, and workflow

- Gain exposure to sales leadership, team development, and recruiting

- Support marketing, lead generation, and customer retention initiatives

- Participate in financial management, budgeting, and profitability planning

- Understand technology systems, compliance, and risk management within an agency setting

 

## Qualifications

- Previous sales, customer service, or management experience preferred

- Strong communication and relationship-building skills

- Goal-oriented and comfortable in a performance-driven environment

- Willing to make outbound calls and prospect for new business

- Available to work full-time, Monday through Friday

- Must be willing and able to obtain a Property & Casualty insurance license

- Competitive, entrepreneurial mindset with motivation to learn and succeed

- Insurance industry experience is a plus, but not required
