The **Nick Myers Agency** in Portage is looking for an Agent to join the team. This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with people, is motivated by goals, and wants to develop a long-term career in insurance and sales.

You don't need years of insurance experience to get started. If you bring strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, and the motivation to improve, you'll receive hands-on training and coaching to help you build the rest.

## **What Your Day Will Look Like**

You'll spend your time connecting with prospective and existing customers, learning what matters to them, and helping them find coverage that fits their needs.

You'll also:

- Reach out to prospects through agency leads, referrals, phone calls, email, and other outreach

- Ask questions to understand customers' needs, priorities, and current insurance coverage

- Prepare quotes and explain coverage options in a clear, approachable way

- Recommend Auto, Home, Life, Business, and other insurance products

- Follow up consistently with prospects throughout the sales process

- Build relationships with existing customers and identify additional coverage opportunities

- Work toward individual and agency sales goals

- Keep your pipeline and customer activity organized

- Participate in ongoing sales coaching, product training, and professional development

- Stay persistent when you hear "no" or don't get an answer

- Are motivated by the opportunity to earn commission in addition to your base pay

- Are dependable, organized, and consistent with follow-up

- Want a career with opportunities to take on more responsibility over time

Previous experience in sales, customer service, retail, banking, hospitality, automotive, or another customer-facing role is helpful, but **insurance experience is not required**.

A Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health license is preferred. Candidates who are not currently licensed should be willing to complete the required licensing process.
