**The H1B Salary Explorer charts the wages U.S. employers actually filed with the Department of Labor**, aggregated into median and p25–p75 bands per sector, industry, location and role. Every figure comes from public Labor Condition Application disclosures, not survey estimates.

Pick a dimension and compare markets side by side, follow the median trend across fiscal years, read the certified worksite observations behind each point, and export any view to CSV. The two most recent fiscal years are part of FoundRole Pro; earlier years and every sponsor-level median stay free.

## Frequently Asked Questions

### Where does the H1B salary data come from?

Every figure is aggregated from Labor Condition Application (LCA) disclosure files published by the U.S. Department of Labor (dol.gov). We annualize the filed wages and compute the median and percentile bands per sector, industry, location and role.
### Are filed H1B wages the same as real salaries?

Not exactly — an LCA wage is what the employer declared it will pay for that position, and the final offer can land higher once bonuses and equity are added. Treat the median filed wage as a floor-side reference and the p25–p75 band as the realistic range.
### Why are the latest two fiscal years locked?

The two most recent fiscal years — the figures closest to today's market — are part of FoundRole Pro, while earlier years stay free. The chart labels every withheld period, so you always see which data exists before deciding to upgrade.
### How current is the data?

New DOL disclosure files land roughly once a quarter, and each release adds the newest fiscal quarter to the charts. The label on every point shows which period it covers.
### Can I download the data?

Yes — every chart and comparison table exports to CSV in one click, with the series label, fiscal period, median, p25/p75 band, sample size and worker count for each point.

## What the explorer shows

### Filed wages, straight from DOL disclosure data

Every figure is a certified prevailing or offered wage from Labor Condition Application (LCA) disclosure data — the wages employers actually filed, not self-reported estimates. Percentiles reflect all filings for the selected market in the period.

### Compare up to six markets

Pick sectors, industries, locations, or roles from the rail and chart them together. Median line, an optional P25–P75 band, and a comparison table with median, YoY, percentile range, sample size, and worker count for each market.

### Yearly or quarterly, your choice

Toggle between a yearly trend and quarterly detail. Switch the charted metric between median, prevailing, P25, and P75 to read the market from the angle you need.

### Pro — the current window

Pro unlocks the hot window — the last complete and current fiscal years — plus quarterly detail, year-over-year change, six-market comparison, and full CSV export. See where wages are moving now, not just where they were.
