      Leidos has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Imagery Scientist (Spectral) to join our team in Springfield, VA.

      Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate;:

      • Collect process data and perform data analysis.
      • Integrate centralized protect and maintain data in DBMS.
      • Clean massage and organized data.
      • Perform ad hoc analysis and present results in a clear manner.
      • Communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise and actionable manner using storytelling/visualization.
      • Create/deploy/maintain cloud applications to support migration of data and production processes
      • Create/deploy/maintain tools to extract features data and meta-data from a variety of sources, including Raster to vector-to-vector text to vector and text database.
      • Write/maintain Python scripts in Arc GIS to improve efficiency of the production process.
      • Support Business Processing Re-engineering.
      • Perform Data Conversion/migration
      • Perform Business Analytics.

      Basic Qualifications:

      • Typically requires a BA degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience.
      • BS in image science, remote sensing, earth science, etc. 3+ years image processing & scientific analysis of spectral data (including phenomenology, correction, sensor design principles, ENVI and/or ERDAS Imagine, civil & commercial sources).
      • IDL/Java/MATLAB/Python/R.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Advanced degree.
      • Proficiency developing & delivering course materials (live & recorded).
      • Tool/software development. Chemistry, atmospheric science, GIS (ArcGIS).
      • Amazon C2S, PKIs.
      • Manmade lights in optics/remote sensing contexts.

      Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
