Join a well-established, high-demand GI practice in California's Central Valley with flexibility to tailor your schedule and scope. This position offers subspecialty volume, advanced procedural capabilities, and strong support from a respected community hospital. Whether you're looking for inpatient, outpatient, or a hybrid model, this opportunity aligns with your goals in gastroenterology.
Practice Overview
- You'll join a hospital-employed team alongside 3 private GI groups in a 613-bed regional hospital
- 1:4 call rotation (7 days/month); low call-back volume with triaged consults
- Full spectrum GI, including ERCP and EUS; ASC with a dedicated GI suite and OR access with anesthesia support
- Support includes advanced practice providers, hospital-based infusion centers, and in-house imaging (CT, MRI, US, X-ray)
Schedule
- Monday-Friday clinic with 8 AM start; last patient seen by 4:30 PM; no weekend clinic
- Choose from 100% inpatient, 100% outpatient, or a traditional GI blend
- Flexibility to spend up to 4 days/week in surgery if desired
- Saturday coverage optional (8 AM-12 PM); physicians see ~25 patients/day
Compensation & Benefits
- Year 1: $633,000 guaranteed (base $572K + $61K benefits); transitions to wRVU model in Year 2
- $50,000 sign-on bonus + up to $15,000 relocation + $100K student loan repayment
- Additional call pay available; 24-hour shift: $4,700 (split between restricted and night)
- 3-year contract, CME allowance, malpractice with tail, full benefits, and faculty options for teaching
Candidate Requirements
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology
- ERCP and/or EUS experience preferred but not required
- Open to 2025 fellows, especially those committing early
- Must be comfortable seeing adult and geriatric populations (no pediatrics)
